An initiative involving iRSM, the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and Industrial Design in the Faculty of Arts, University of Alberta.
Surgical Design and Simulation Online Courses
Introduction to Surgical Design and Simulation
This online course is for clinicians and health-care professionals who are interested in learning how they can apply digital technologies and simulation to their treatment pathway. The course provides an extensive overview of evolving digital technologies, their applications in the medical field and surgical design and simulation case studies. The course includes topics such as medical imaging, software and hardware used in the surgical design and simulation workflow, and additive manufacturing. The course is flexible and fully offered online. Available Winter 2019.
International Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics
Established in 2014, the International Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics is run through the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Department of Surgery, at the University of Alberta. Our first candidate was accepted in January 2014. We currently accept one new fellow per year.
